頼もしい普段着のような器

陶工房風土の器の定番カラーの一つ「ジャパンブルー」は、竹原の海と空を象徴する青です。呉須に竹炭の釉薬を掛けて、焼く時に煙をもくもく焚いてしっかり還元をかけ、鮮やかに発色させます。丸や一文字などを刷毛目で描くことも多く、自然な濃淡が味わいになります。伝統的な日本のブルーはどんな食材にも合わせやすく、よくなじんだ普段着にも似た、長く使い込んでいける頼もしさがあります。

穏やかな素材感のモノトーン

料理や食材、花の豊かな色彩を引き立てる黒と白の器も充実。陶工房風土のモノトーンは、ほんのり光沢のあるセミマットの上品な質感をもっています。どんな色も優しく受け止める穏やかなナチュラルホワイト、オリジナル釉薬を使ったブラックは、光の加減によって多彩な表情を見せます。ブルーの器とも相性抜群です。

底知れぬ深海、古いデニム。豊かな青のニュアンス

At Fudo, a pottery studio that is particular about the color blue, we have two other types of blue in addition to Japan Blue. Grand Bleu is the mysterious, almost scary blue you see when you peer into the sea from the pier, so deep that you can't see the bottom. It's named after the French film directed by Luc Besson. We have also started making another blue, which is still in limited supply, that resembles vintage denim, created by layering gosu and gray. Both go surprisingly well with any type of food, Japanese, Western, or ethnic. Enjoy the nuanced world of blue.
